CEREMONIES & RITES OF PASSAGE

Ceremonies and rituals are a profound and intuitive way to connect to the quality of a particular time and moment in your life. By providing a ritual frame, we give consciousness to that moment and invite transcendence into it.

A ceremony can have many forms. While we often describe rituals in terms of the traditions, practices and their sequence, I understand them more simply as spaces which hold an intention, are marked in time and include symbolic acts.  The design of a ceremony therefore depends on the intention it holds and the symbolic language which speaks to the people participating in it.

A “good” ceremony leaves you transformed. Ceremonies are spaces where expansion and transcendence is allowed and will happen. This is independent of the “reason” why the ceremony is held. It requires openness and a willingness for change.

A Ceremony for particular life events

If you would like to honor a certain moment in your life through the gift of a ceremony, I can support you in the following ways:

“A drop of DIVINITY” – Support for particular elements of a ceremony or celebration, orientation towards a DIVINE connection.

Sometimes we already know how we would like a certain event or celebration to look like but there are particular elements for which we would like to invite a DIVINE blessing and orientation. This can be the case for wedding vows, the blessing of a newborn, a way of helping people engage in a symbolic act of community or adding a moment of ceremoniousness to an otherwise non-religious gathering.

With my guidance, you can find out how to invite that special moment of DIVINE presence and how to celebrate an intentional connection with the event’s true meaning and essence.

“Immersion into Essence” – Designing a ceremony that honors your intention and purpose for it.

In this modality, we design a ritual together. We develop a more in-depth intention as well as ritualistic elements and symbolism that fits well to your intention. I help you to create a proper spiritual basis for the event. You will receive a detailed plan with the different steps and elements of the ceremony. The focus will be on how the different symbolic elements are linked to the essence of the ceremony itself and the kind of transformation it is meant to create, so that the symbolic acts are filled with actual meaning.

“Full Circle Ceremony” – Invite me to hold a ceremony for you and your loved ones

Here, you do not simply invite my ideas and expertise in designing a ritualistic space but you invite me as a person and the individual skill set that I bring to the table in facilitating a ceremonial experience. Therefore, you are able to focus less on preparation and design and more on the immediate experience of the ceremony. My training allows me to attend to the subtleties of a ceremonial space and respond more intuitively to what the moment requires. If you are looking for a space that is safely held and where you can be a participant just as everyone else, being able to fully dive into the experience of the ceremony, this is a wonderful opportunity.

These three modalities are, of course, not fixed in their form. You can “Mix and match” acccording to your needs. Each ceremonial space is different and will depend on what you wish for the ceremony to be for you and the other people involved, the role you wish to play and the dimension of spiritual connection you are seeking for this event.
